We were ecstatic to see 18-year-old David Da Costa pass his Level 1 qualification with flying colours on Friday 31 March at our National Training Site in Crooklands, Cumbria. Now entering his seventh month as apprentice to one of our Master Craftsman Wallers, Philip Dolphin, David is the first of three apprentices the DSWA will be working with kindly supported by The Ernest Cook Trust.

The wet weather didn’t dampen David’s spirit and he worked hard on assessment day to deliver a brilliant piece of walling that he could be proud of and which gained him his first Dry Stone Walling qualification. As David continues to go from strength to strength we look forward to seeing his progress.

Well done David!
