Calling all wallers!   DSWA is hosting a Wallathon in Reeth, North Yorkshire over the weekend of 19th and 20th of October. Thousands of metres of dry stone walls have been destroyed following recent flooding and the farmers and landowers face the almost impossible task of repairing the damage.  We need wallers, helpers and anyone who can support the cause. You don’t need to be a member of DSWA GB to help out – the more people we can get to help the better.  We do, however, need to have an idea of numbers attending in order identify suitable sections of wall.  Participants need to arrange their own accommodation but there is a range of options from camping, B&Bs, hotels and guest houses but it is a popular area so early booking is probably recommended.

Please contact the DSWA office on information@dswa.org.uk with REETH WALLATHON as the subject and your experience level as a waller and what day/days you will be able to come listed in the email.  We also need non-wallers to help move stone and other jobs so everyone is welcome.  Further details will be sent out shortly and we look forward to seeing lots of you in Reeth on the 19th.
