Cheshire Branch joined some 250 traders at the Nantwich Agricultural Show at Reaseheath College, Nantwich, hosted by the Nantwich Agricultural Society on Wednesday 31st July 2024. The weather was perfect for the livestock shows, agricultural machinery, craft and art displays and delicious food – especially the pies! South Cheshire is not known for its dry stone walls yet dozens of visitors to our stand were keen to know more about the craft of drystone walling. Several people were curious about the work we do around Cheshire and further afield. Many wanted to know more know about our weekend courses and took great interest in our educational leaflets.  Our desk-top miniature wall was a big hit with both children and adults. This is always an engaging way to introduce the many all aspects of walling we all enjoy, including  technical, historical and, importantly, the social elements of walling. A very enjoyable day!
