2026 East of Scotland Branch Calendar
The East of Scotland Branch was formed at the start of 2026 by the merger of the Central Scotland and South East Scotland branches. Our activities cover Angus, Fife, Perth & Kinross, Clackmannanshire, the Lothians and the Borders, though we welcome any DSWA member wishing to get involved from all over Scotland, and indeed the world.
Throughout the year we organise a popular series of beginners’ training courses at various locations within the East of Scotland area for those interested in learning the craft, all of which are led by professional wallers who are qualified instructors. These tend to sell out, so if you’re interested it’s best to book soon – details can be found on our website.
Our membership covers all levels of wallers, from new beginners right up to master craftsmen. Each year we arrange a programme of members’ events which are generally community projects, sometimes done in conjunction with other community groups with an interest in conservation and traditional crafts. These are open to all DSWA members wishing to practice their craft and learn further from experienced wallers. No additional branch membership fee is charged, and all members of the DSWA are welcome.
Please note that both the Central Scotland and South East Scotland websites are current still working whilst the new East of Scotland Branch website is being worked upon.
