Bee Boles at Coniston Water

A group of bee boles at Coniston. These were used to protect the bee skeps from the weather and were often found in south facing walls to make the most of the sunshine. More details about bee boles can be found in the leaflet of the same name, under the "Sales" section of this website.
Picture Added on 03 August 2007.
