Pinnacle Award 1999 - Award Presentation

Presentation of the Awards to Lord MacLaurin (left) and Ian Kitson (right) by DSWA President, Bryan Hough (centre), at the Natural Stone Show, Wembley.

The project (Sunken Gardens at Longdene) included retaining walls, seats, steps and a waterfall feature.

The Award was granted to Lord MacLaurin of Knebworth for the commissioning, planning and execution of a landscaping project – a major part of which has been built using dry stone walling techniques. The Award also acknowledges the work done by Ian Kitson Landscape Architects of London, and DSWA Master Craftsman, Hugh Drysdale of Thornhill, Dumfries-shire.
