Examiners

The DSWA has a pool of current Master Craftsman certificate holders who are appointed as Examiners for the Craftsman Certification Scheme and who assess candidates at organised test days.  Applications to be an Examiner are agreed by the DSWA Craft Skills Group and should be submitted in writing to the DSWA office.  Examiners are also approved by Lantra Awards.  An assessment course is held for Examiners, who are required to attend the course on a regular basis in order to ensure their skills are kept up to date and marking is carried out as fairly as possible and to the same standard throughout the country.  A list of current Examiners is produced annually, available here.
